In Oregon and southwest Washington, Builders FirstSource has beautiful collections of Mid Continent and DeWils semi-custom cabinetry available at its Lincoln City, McMinnville, Newport and Hermiston locations. We also carry and can source the perfect countertops to compliment your cabinets. Whether you’re looking for the natural beauty of quartz, granite, soapstone and marble, or the exceptional functionality of a laminate, tile, or solid surface material like Avonite, Corian and Swanstone, our experienced kitchen designers can help you through the entire process from start to finish.
When it comes to designing the perfect kitchen, flow and function are key components. The design specialists at Builders FirstSource are trained to ask questions that lead to the perfect design fit for your family’s lifestyle and budget. We invite you to bring your measurements to one of our showrooms, meet with a designer, share your ideas, and discuss the vision for your project. Our showrooms also boast a great selection of display examples so you can see, touch and feel everything from the cabinets and countertops down to the hardware and soft-close drawer glides. Pinterest boards and magazine clippings are excellent ways to clearly convey your vision. Your designer will walk you through the variety of products on display in the showroom while discussing available construction options, door styles, and finishes.

Frameless
Frameless cabinets—also called European—are built without a face frame. When the cabinet is closed, the door and drawer fronts cover the entire face. When the door is open, there is unobstructed access since there is no frame or stile.

Inset
Inset cabinets have a defined furniture look. While framed and frameless cabinet doors and drawers sit on the face of the cabinet, inset drawers and doors slide into the box, creating a flush furniture esthetic.

Framed
Framed cabinets have a face frame that surrounds the front of the cabinet and a center stile inside the cabinet. When the cabinet doors are closed, the frame of the cabinet is visible. You can also opt for partial or full overlay doors, minimizing or eliminating the frame from view.
In addition to the type and style of cabinetry, finish is also an important factor to consider: glazed, painted, natural wood, or any combination. Choosing one finish on the uppers and another on the lowers is a stylish choice. Another beautiful choice is to make your island a design statement by choosing a separate accent finish for it. Builders FirstSource does not install cabinets, but we are happy to work with your installers throughout the completion of your project.
